Ankle & Foot Pain

Containing over a quarter of the total bones in your body, your foot and ankle must function optimally to perform the simple tasks of bearing weight and walking. Unfortunately, with injury, overuse or conditions causing inflammation, your foot and ankle can be common sources of pain.

Foot pain can affect any part of your foot, from your toes to your Achilles tendon at the back of your heel. Plantar fasciitis can cause significant heel pain and make it difficult to walk. It is one of the most common foot problems that benefits from chiropractic care and massage therapy. Interdigital neuroma, metatarsalgia, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy (caused by injury to the nerves) and tarsal tunnel syndrome are other conditions that affect the foot.

Ankle sprains, which occur when your ankle is forcefully twisted, may cause pain on the inside or outside of your ankle. Ankle sprains can happen during sports or simply when you walk on an uneven surface or make a misstep. Achilles tendinitis and muscle strains are also commonly seen and successfully treated with chiropractic care and massage therapy.
